FAUX FEROCIOUS
Faux Ferocious is a 4-piece punk band that originally formed in Knoxville when its members were enrolled at the University of Tennessee. The band’s hypnotic and pulsing lo-fi rock is reminiscent of classic garage droners like the Velvet Underground, John Spencer Blues Explosion and Chronic Town era R.EM. Praising their recent 2018 SXSW performance in LibroMusica, journalist Gwnedolyn Lewis described their sound as striking “a graceful balance between pickled krautrock, driving, crack-the-whip punk and the shimmery and seducitve psychadelia that makes the shag carpet a reasonable flooring option.” Comprised of Jonathan Phillips, Reid Cummings, Dylan Palmer and Terry Kane, Faux Ferocious is working on finishing their forthcoming full-length follow-up to 2017’s Cloning The Rubicon.
